Traffic advisory: Victoria Street resurfacing work

THURSDAY, DEC. 1: The City of Hamilton today announced that resurfacing work will take place on Victoria Street starting at 7:00am on Monday December 5 and ending at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 8.

Victoria Street will be closed to eastbound traffic between Cedar Avenue and Parliament Street. Shoppers on motorcycles and in vehicles may access The Shopping Centre from Brunswick Street only.

A spokesperson for the City also advised motorists and pedestrians that work to install Puffin traffic lights on the corner of Parliament and Church Streets will continue until early February 2012. Everyone is encouraged to use extreme caution as they approach these junctions.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
