Traffic advisory: Court Street closed on Saturday
THURSDAY, JUNE 9: The official opening of Dame Lois Browne Evans Building will be held at 58 Court Street, Hamilton on Saturday, June 11 at 10am.
The Premier and Minister of Finance, Paula Cox and Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Works, Derrick Burgess, will be joining family members of the late Dame Lois Browne Evans for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Following the ceremony, invited guests will be able to view an exhibit of documents relating to the life and career of the Hon. Dame Lois in the lobby of the Dame Lois Browne Evans Building mounted by the Department of Archives. The exhibit will remain open for public viewing until the start of the Cup Match public holiday on July 28, 2011.
The Ministry of Public Works would like to notify the motoring public that there will be several road closures Northbound at Court Street at the junction of Church Street and Southbound at Victoria Street at the junction of Court Street in Hamilton on Saturday, June 11, from 6am until 11:30am. Traffic in these areas will be diverted East or West.
The Ministry apologizes for any inconvenience the road closures may cause and requests that motorists cooperate with the traffic restrictions in this area of Hamilton and avoid Church Street at the junction of Court Street and Victoria Street at the junction of Court Street.
