THURSDAY, MAY 10: Bermuda Hospitals Board and Paget Health Services today announce that, starting Monday 14 May 2012 one end of Berry Hill Road will be closed for four weeks from the Hospital entrance to the junction of Point Finger Road.
Barry New, Paget Health Services General Manager, comments: “We recognize that this will be a temporary inconvenience but this work is required to make a connection to a Government water supply in the catchment area in the BHB’s staff car park.
“We have worked closely with Government departments in order to agree the best route for this connection and the timing for the work. Paget Health Services will work extremely hard to ensure all work is completed on time and thanks everyone for their understanding.”
The KEMH Redevelopment Project is currently on budget and on schedule for the new acute care facility to open in 2014.
Venetta Symonds, Bermuda Hospitals Board CEO, comments: “Our primary concern is to ensure the hospital remains accessible to visitors and patients and minimize the impact on our neighbours, who have been very understanding of this major project.
“This work will not impact the visitors’ car park, but will require all people accessing the hospital, Botanical Gardens and other residences along Berry Hill Road to enter from Tee Street.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and expect work to be completed by the middle of June.”
