The suits flow again for Michael Douglas
The actor-mogul, who with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones forms the most ferocious and pugnacious team of lawsuit slingers, has filed suit against two Boca Raton media companies for idolatry.
The 61-year-old Basic Instinct star says Family Television Studios Inc. and Paradigm Media Group have been using his sacrosanct image for commercial gain.
Douglas says in 2004 he hosted two segments of the show “Learning About ...” which he was told was a noncommercial educational series.
But, the suit says, the company actually makes for-profit shows and has used Douglas’ name to raise money from sponsors for segments that were never made.
Douglas wants profits the companies have made from the segments, $75,000 in compensation, plus attorneys’ fees and costs. There’s been no statement from the media companies.[[In-content Ad]]
