CedarBridge wins tournament
CedarBridge's Pinned Down carried off the top prize from the sixth annual Inter-school Bowling Tournament from last week.
Pinned Down had a team total of 1,358, which was 120 pins more than runner-up CBA Tigers.
Fantastic Five from Somerset Primary were third at 1,190, edging the TEC Eagles by four pins.
Andrew Richardson from East End Primary had the high male league player series with 321, but that wasn't good enough to top the best female player - Kennelyn Smith - who had a 328. Irving Romaine, representing Victor Scott Primary, was the top male non-league player with a 291 while Purvis Primary's Karen Scott was the best female non-league bowler.
Prinzine Bailey from C & A had the high game with a 167 while Sandys' Jamel Bean was the top male with a 158. Chris Crumpler is better known for his basketball skills but he had a nice 184 to record the high male non-league player game. CedarBridge team-mate Dennika Bean (181) had the high game for the female non-league player.
Arantxa King
The former youth world champion will go into this weekend's Pac-10 Championships with a solid chance to medal twice. She is the top seed in the triple jump and number two in the long jump. King is a sophomore at Stanford University.
