TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20: The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s East End Division will be partnering with the Corporation of St. George for Christmas Eve festivities.
East End divisional chair Cheryl Hayward Chew said: “This Saturday, last minute shoppers and holiday revelers will have a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit in St. George’s.
“The Olde Towne Market, which is normally open on Sundays, will be open from 11am to 3pm, with great last minute shopping ideas, unique stocking stuffers and fabulous bargains.
“Additionally, the Department of Community & Cultural Affairs will be featuring their weekly Rendezvous activities, commencing with a walking tour of the Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, at 10:30, followed by a meet and greet with the Mayor and a chilly reenactment of the ducking of the wench at 12 noon.”
Chamber EVP Joanne MacPhee added: “We are delighted that our East End Division is joining forces with other businesses in St. George’s to celebrate the start of the holidays.
“It is yet another opportunity for Bermudians to embrace our Go Local shopping campaign and truly get into the spirit of Christmas.
“St. George’s has so much to offer and with the Olde Towne Market open, the town will be all a buzz with activity.
“In addition to shopping there will be opportunities to enjoy delicious local fare at East End restaurants, so we are enthusiastically encouraging folks to head east on Saturday to enjoy the festivities.”[[In-content Ad]]
