FRIDAY, DEC. 30: Most people will be out tomorrow night celebrating the end of one year and the beginning of another.
But those men and women who work in the service industries won’t be partying.
They will be busy waiting tables, pouring drinks and playing music for all those partygoers.
To cater to those who cater for others, Fourways has a special, post-New Year’s Eve party dedicated to those in hospitality.
On January 9, hospitality workers are encouraged to “replay” New Years Eve from 6:30pm with a five-course dinner, champagne toast, canapés and more.
Andreas Detzer of the Little Venice Group said: “Basically, it’s geared towards people who work in hospitality who don’t have the change to celebrate New Year’s.
“It’s not exclusive to them; anyone who doesn’t have the change to celebrate are invited to come.”
Mr Detzer said the event is $150 per person inclusive of gratuities.
Wine is also included with dinner and a cash bar will follow.
There will be dancing and New Year’s Eve party favours.
For reservations, call 236-6517.
