The blue and white Cakewalk was moored up at Ordnance Island for a couple of days before leaving Bermuda for Gibraltar on Easter Sunday.
The motoryacht is an incredible feat of engineering and was constructed in the US last year.
She is the largest yacht to be built in the States since the 1930s and boasts a gym, top-to-bottom spiral staircase and marble flooring.
The vessel’s six decks are accessible by an elevator, while each of the six guest rooms is fitted with an ensuite bath and spa tub.
The yacht’s dining room carpet was handmade in Tibet, while the sun deck boasts a large mosaic mural.
Cakewalk arrived in Bermuda from Fort Lauderdale with a crew of 23 lucky people on board.
She is available for luxury charters in the Mediterranean for five to 10 weeks each year.
Glamorous
For the rest of the year she is kept for her owner’s use. Their identity remains a tightly-guarded secret.
Elsewhere in the shipping world this week, the slightly less glamorous but vital car and container ships will be arriving.
The freshly-painted Oleander was back in service for the first time in about three months following a major refit in Europe. She arrived on schedule on Sunday afternoon.
The other two container ships are also scheduled to dock this week.
The Somers Isles arrives today, while the Bermuda Islander is due in tomorrow morning.
The car carrier European Highway arrived at Hamilton yesterday and left the same day.
Dockyard is bound to be busy this weekend with two cruise ships and about 6,000 passengers arriving.
The Emerald Princess and the Explorer of the Seas will both arrive at about 8am on Saturday and leave later in the afternoon.
It is the Princess’s first and only trip to Bermuda in 2011.
She originates in Fort Lauderdale and is going to Cork in Ireland.
