Roadworks in Hamilton this weekend

THURSDAY, OCT. 21: The City of Hamilton today announced there will be a number of road closures on Sunday, October 24, 2010.

There will be crane work taking place on Queen Street and as a result the following streets will be closed between 6:00am and 12:00 noon: Reid Street between Burnaby and Queen Streets and Queen Street between Front and Church Streets.

Due to the Crimestoppers Road Race, Wesley Street will be closed between 8:30am and 11:00am. The race will take the following route but the roads will not be closed: Church Street, Par-la-Ville Road, Front Street, Crow Lane back to Front Street, Bermudiana Road to Church Street.

Motorists are asked to use extreme caution as they travel around Hamilton on Sunday morning.

The City of Hamilton apologises for any inconvenience caused by these road closures.

FRIDAY, OCT. 22 UPDATE: The City of Hamilton today announced additional traffic disruptions over the weekend.

Starting at 7:00am on Saturday morning through to Sunday evening at 6:00pm flaggers will be positioned at the intersection of Court and Victoria Streets as trenching work takes place for the new Court House. Victoria Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic during the trenching.

The City of Hamilton apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
