MONDAY, JANUARY 21: A meal at Waterlot Inn is guaranteed not to only be a spectacular, but also a dining experience.

And, it can set your bank account back a few hundred dollars.

But now that it’s restaurant week, you can experience the luxury of Waterlot for a fraction of the cost.

A three-course meal at the iconic restaurant is on offer until February 16 for just $49 per person plus gratuities.

I went last weekend with my boyfriend. Manager Tom Houston and his staff treated us like royalty from start to finish.

But let’s cut to the chase.

Tom offered us the diamond wine pairing to go with our meal so we started with a glass of Veuve Cliquot. We had a glass of wine to go with each course.

For starters, I ordered onion soup and Jason ordered the chopped salad.

Both were very classic appetizers but nonetheless, delicious.

For our mains, we both ordered the eight-ounce filet. It came with delicious mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables.

Jason said it was the best steak he had ever had without sauce. I expected mine to be amazing and it was.

Waterlot is of course known for its amazing cuts of meat and this dinner was no exception.

Tom brought over the other two options, chicken breast cooked sous-vide style and broiled rockfish for us to try.

The chicken was super tender and flavourful while the rockfish was cooked perfectly.

For dessert, I had sticky toffee pudding and he had a honey berry cheesecake made from the hotel’s own honey.

Both were absolutely delicious.

We were also able to choose a drink to go with our dessert from the digestive cart. It was a 1985 port in honour of my birth year.

Be sure to check out Waterlot during restaurant week. Their philosophy is offering guests a full fine dining experience with items you can have on the menu all year round.
