Renowned portrait artist Bernard Poulin is coming to Bermuda to exhibit a selection of oil paintings.
He will also lead a two-day weekend workshop called In A Portrait Mood.
Poulin is famous for his portraits of well-known figures including members of royalty, heads of State, politicians and dignitaries.
His show, In a Bermudian Mood, opens at the Bermuda Society of Arts tonight with a special unveiling of his portrait of former mayor Sutherland Madeiros.
On Wednesday, Poulin picked up portraits of Dame Lois Browne-Evans and Speaker of the House Stanley Lowe from the House of Assembly and the portrait of Dame Jennifer Smith from the Cabinet Building and took them to The People’s Gallery at the BSoA.
The paintings will take pride of place in his exhibition alongside portraits of three Mayors of Hamilton among other well known Bermudians.
New works by Poulin will also be on display at the exhibition.
