TUESDAY, JUNE 26 6:30PM: The City of Hamilton would like to inform the public that there has been a break in the city sewage line which will impact residents and motorists in the Point Finger Road area.
While putting in piping for the new hospital a contractor damaged the existing sewage line. The situation is compounded by a break in the sewage line at the Docks which was done during the construction of the X-ray project.
As emergency work is carried out to rectify the situation, we are asking all businesses and residents who are on the city sewage line to keep toilet flushing to a minimum until the line has been fixed. We anticipate the work to be completed by midnight tonight. In the meantime, we urge motorists to use extremely caution in the area of Point Finger Road while the repairs are taking place.
We will provide another update once the sewage line at Point Finger Road has been repaired.
