MONDAY, MAR. 5: Bermudian reggae artist SteFyah is a finalist in a UK reggae competition.

SteFyah, born Stephen Robinson Jr, entered ReggaeSpace Seed New Artist Awards 2012 in December.

The 23-year-old currently lives in London to pursue his music dreams.

He said: “Entries were received from countries worldwide.

“I progressed to the semi-finals in January and as of Feb 21, I was officially named a finalist in a group of 12, six males and six females.

“Ultimately, only one male and one female can be crowned as the winners.”

He continued: “I am promoting all over the web on all of the major social platforms, Twitter, YouTube and we have an Official Facebook Fan Page where users can connect to SteFyah and communicate by sharing their thoughts, pictures and love, of course.

“My current single ‘Come Over’ produced here in London and released digitally, as part of my promotion in January, is available for playback on YouTube.

“I also promote in the streets as I commute on a daily basis.

“So far I have received a lot of support, but mostly from this side of the world, being this is the region I live in.”

SteFyah said the message has reached Bermuda through the internet.

“However, I strongly feel that only a small percentage of the people have received the news.

“I bring only a message of love and embark only on a mission to share this love and encourage the people of this world to live in love.

“Stop fighting and start loving, these words of self-empowerment drive my ambitions and my intentions are only to see the world living in love.

“Here I am to contribute to this vision and purpose common amongst many others worldwide.”

He continued: “My message is positive and non-destructive, one people of every race, age, and genre need to hear.

“My drive and ambition to progress as an artist and public figure is a journey worth taking and living for.

“I do the things I do for the people and my love for humanity.

Votes can be placed once every 24 hours and polls close March 16.

Winners receive the services of Promotance Publicist and are given the opportunity to voice for five Record Labels around the world and work with their producers.

SteFyah added: “This is a foundation and stepping stone to so much more.

“I am asking all who have access to a computer to please vote and show support in every way possible.”
