Reconciliation is being united with God in His purpose
FRIDAY, AUGUST 10: Ever since the beginning of time, there has been the need for reconciliation.
Yes, since the very day the residents of the Garden of Eden sinned, God set in place a plan to win back that which was already His.
That is one of the beautiful points of RE-conciliation. You can only RE-concile that which was joined to you in unity beforehand.
For to reconcile, is to understand, settle, bring together, and my favourite, reunite.
I want you to understand that you can never reconcile something or someone that was never together in the first place.
It is a Re-union. If you were ever, really together as one, then to be apart is an unnatural and uncomfortable thing. Therefore in that case, in the very centre of your being, you desire to re-union, rejoin, and settle it so that the power of oneness may be established in your life once again.
Let me support this statement by looking at the final prayerful request of Jesus found in St. John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
In the prayer, Jesus was asking God to bring about that which was done before; that which was in the beginning.
So in other words, in the mind of God, Jesus was already one in the past with certain people in the world and Jesus (as He was about to leave the world) asked His Father to reconcile Him with those people once again.
Why would Jesus ask for reconciliation?
The reason is that Jesus was about to leave the world, but the people that he needed to settle with would be left in the world and would need to be one with Jesus in order to do greater works than Jesus had done.
Those left in the world would have to follow the work ethic of Jesus Christ and would therefore have to be one with Him in order to understand what was expected of them.
Can I tell you something? Unless reconciliation occurs between you and Jesus, you will never be able to complete the God-work, the mission, or the purpose for which you were born.
It all starts with reconciliation towards God. I will never reconcile successfully with you until we are both reconciled with and to God in the first place. Once we are both where God is, then we will automatically be at the same place with each other.
So let me make it plain as it pertains to reconciliation. It will never take place unless both parties, all parties, are completely, wholly, and solely united to God in His purpose.
Why? Because we all came from the creative mind of God, out of the bosom of God, and when we all become one with our God-purpose we cannot help but become one with each other.
The reason that you cannot complete your God-purpose is because you have not completed the reconciliation purpose. Reconciliation is in the heart and mind of God. It is a beautiful place of unity where God then commands His blessing. Wow!
Let me be clear, reconciliation is not about simply saying words. Oh no! Reconciliation is about living according to The Word, Jesus Christ, so that you don’t have to say that you have reconciliation; it will be by your actions or your deeds that all shall see that you have become one with your brother, your sister, your parents, your brethren.
Why? Because you cannot successfully move on to complete God’s preordained purpose in your life until you have reconciled.
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Never attempt reconciliation until you are fully prepared to do the will of God. No wonder Jesus prayed over the matter. It is not an easy process, for it will be about forgetting about what happened in the past and reaching pass the past to get to God, so that all may move on to their future.
The future is great. The possibilities are endless. Reconcile to God and you will do greater works than those done in the past. Blessings abound!
