Quickfire Q&A with Kevin Hurdle

Each week Lionel will be pulling a name out of the hat and profiling one of the players vying for a spot in Bermuda's World Cup bid. Kevin Hurdle was first up for the new feature.

How long have you been playing cricket?

I'm 30 now and I've played since I was 11, so 19 years.

Who's your greatest inspiration?

My father Derek Snr (former rugby and cricket player) and brother Derek jnr (Bermuda rugby captain).

Favourite player?

Glenn McGrath - the Australian seam bowler.

Greatest cricketing moment?

Winning the Americas' Cup with Bermuda last year. The second is yet to come.

Favourite meal?

Steak.

Favourite music?

I like all kinds of music - nothing in particular.

Biggest disappointment?

Being young and small-minded and missing out on a lot of opportunities.

What would you like to accomplish in cricket?

To do well and be successful

Where do you see Bermuda cricket in 20 years?

I'd like to see cricketers able to become full time professionals and make cricket their career in Bermuda.[[In-content Ad]]
