Queen's Birthday Parade to affect Hamilton traffic
FRIDAY, JUNE 8: Front Street will be closed between Court Street and Bermudiana Road for most of tomorrow morning for the Queen’s Birthday Parade.
The parade is due to begin from Cabinet House at 10am and will last more around 75 minutes.
A number of other road closures will also be imposed before and after the parade.
Point Pleasant Road leading to Albouy’s Point will be shut between 4am and 11am.
The following roads will be closed between 9am and 12 noon:
- Front Street between Court Street and Bermudiana Road
- Burnaby Street between Reid Street and Front Street
- Court Street between Reid Street and Front Street
- Par-La-Ville Road between Front Street and Church Street
Junctions that provide access to the parade area will be manned and traffic will be prevented from travelling south from those junctions.
There will be no parking between 6am and 12 noon on Front Street between Court Street and Bermudiana Road, and Burnaby Street between Reid Street and Front Street.
Taxis will be permitted to enter Front Street West from the direction of Pitts Bay Road and park on Front Street (north side) between Par-La-Ville Road and Queen Street to pick up passengers and then travel up Queen Street.[[In-content Ad]]
