WEDNESDAY, JAN. 5: In light of several inquiries regarding 2011 Public Holidays, the Government today reissued the following advisory as a reminder:

• New Year’s Day: Saturday 1st January
• Good Friday: Friday 22nd April
• Bermuda Day: Tuesday 24th May
• National Heroes Day: Monday 20th June
• Emancipation Day: Thursday 28 July
• Somers Day: Friday 29 July
• Labour Day: Monday 5th September
• Remembrance Day: Friday 11th November
• Christmas Day: Sunday 25th December
• Boxing Day: Monday 26th December

As Christmas Day 25 December 2011 falls on a Sunday, by virtue of the Public Holidays Act 1947, Tuesday 27th December will be kept as a public holiday according to the Schedule to the Act.[[In-content Ad]]
