Hot on the heels of The Book Of Eli and Zombieland comes another end-of-days tale - and this one will have you wishing for the end.
God loses faith in mankind and sends his legion of angels to bring on the apocalypse.
Humanity's only hope is a diverse group of strangers stuck at the Paradise Falls café in the heart of the Mojave desert.
The mismatched band is tasked with protecting pregnant waitress Charlie (Adrianne Palicki), who is about to give birth to a child who will eventually save mankind.
Helping them is the archangel Michael (Paul Bettany), who embarks on a celestial battle with his rival Gabriel (Kevin Durand).
The film has a few good moments in the first half hour but it slides rapidly from then on, with clumsy dialogue, a flat plot and poor special effects. Star Paul Bettany adds weight though.
Watch if you liked: The Mist.
