Comedy/romance
At their son's graduation, Jane (Meryl Streep) hooks up with her ex-husband Jake (Alec Baldwin), even though he is now married to the young Agness (Lake Bell).
They begin an affair - but as if being her ex's mistress isn't tough enough, things get even more complicated when she falls for architect Adam (Steve Martin).
The movie is basically a sex comedy for the middle aged although is not as crude as movies of that genre aimed at younger audiences.
It retains an old-fashioned romanticism despite the bed-hopping and sex talk.
Streep is as watchable and likeable as ever but the real star is Alec Baldwin. Fans of 30 Rock will know just how funny he can be and he steals every scene here as a wealthy, slightly past his prime lothario.
His character could be sleazy but Baldwin makes him charming and funny.
The cast make up for the uninspiring plot, which isn't a patch on director Nancy Meyers' wonderful Something's Gotta Give.
