Marine and Ports apologises for cancelled ferries
WEDNESDAY, JULY 4: The Department of Marine and Ports would like to apologize for interruptions to the ferry service schedule on Tuesday, July 3rd.
The team at Marine and Ports is addressing the causes of the interruptions to service during the last few days and are working to ensure there will be minimal problems and disruptions and when they do occur they will be solved in a timely manner. The scheduled service will resume today.
TUESDAY, JULY 3 3:30PM UPDATE: The Rockaway/Cavello Bay/Watford 4:10pm service is cancelled as a result of mechanical related issues.
TUESDAY, JULY 3: This afternoon’s ferry service out of St George’s has been cancelled.
No reason has been given by Government for the cancellation.
A statement said: “The Department of Marine and Ports, Ministry of Transport, has advised that the 3:45 pm and 6:30 pm ferries departing St. George’s today have been cancelled.”
The cancellation comes a day after Government announced that the 7:55am Rockaway to Hamilton service would no longer run without giving any warning to the public.
A spokesman for Marine and Ports said: “The Department of Marine and Ports in conjunction with the Department of Communication and Information wishes to apologise for failing to notify the public in a timely manner about this change.”
