Latin restaurant is making sure Bermuda is part of the festivities by throwing a four-day celebration in honour of Cinco De Mayo (May 5).
The event runs from Wednesday until Saturday from 10pm to 1am with live music from Mohawk Radio each night. For every $20 spent at Latin or Rumbar on any evening, guests will win one entry to win prizes. Guests can enter unlimited times to win prizes but must be at the final Cinco de Mayo from 9pm to 10pm on Saturday, May 7. Prizes include a weekend for two at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel.
Restaurant owner Phil Barnett said: “Being a Latin-themed restaurant, we started Cinco De Mayo the year we opened in 2009. We started up with a successful one-night party and then expanded it last year bringing down a band from New York and stretching it into a week. It was great fun and very well attended.
“Mohawk Radio has been playing at some of our other venues, particularly Hog Penny, and I think they are an amazing local band. They have a really tight sound and they play all kinds of popular music and they put on a great show.”
