Mouchette wins X-country

Juma Mouchette won the Astwood Park cross country race on Saturday when he stopped the clock at 17:39.

Mouchette, who was running in the Boys Under-20 category finished 51 seconds ahead of Shaquille Dill. Third overall was Nico Barclay, who also won the Boys Under-17 category by one second over Nate Hartwig. Daniel Oatley was third in the Boys-Under 17.

The Juniors dominated the male half of the race, taking the top eight spots.

Rosa-Anna Hoey was the first woman, breaking the tape at 20:07. Kyrah Scraders was second overall and first in the Girls Under-17 in 21:28, just four seconds ahead of fellow junior Quasshie Douglas and 10 seconds in front of Zakkiyah Showers.

Golf

The Bermuda Golf Association AGM will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at 6pm at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in the Katherine Room. All members are urged to attend.

As a reminder, the Bermuda Amateur Four Ball Championship November 16 to 18 at the Port Royal Golf Club. The entry deadline is Friday, November 9. You can register online.

Triathlon

The Bermuda Triathlon Association will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, November 18.

The meeting will be held at 2pm at 12 Parsons Lane, Devonshire.

Refreshments will be available.

The agenda includes electing the officers for the ensuing year.
