Jujitsu students give back
TUESDAY, DEC. 13: Shawn Harvey, owner of Bermuda Small Circle Jujitsu Academy announced today that the school and its students are participating in the Holiday Helpers Program, which they started to collect and distribute food and clothing baskets to needy citizens in the community.
“A primary lesson that we teach all our students is that giving back to the community builds character and develops leadership skills that children can use throughout life to be successful and help others in need,” said Harvey.
According to Harvey, his school is working with local social service organizations to identify families and individuals whose holiday season will be much brighter with the active support of the school’s students and staff.
We are collecting the food and clothing at the school to be distributed to the Salvation Army in Hamilton Bermuda. We are very excited to partner with the Salvation Army. Harvey says, he has a long history with them plus they are a great organization whose principles and life skills goes along with ours
As a member of the National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA), Bermuda Small Circle Jujitsu Academy promotes and strives for the highest standards of age-appropriate curriculum, leadership training, child safety and security, business integrity and professional ethics.
