WEDNESDAY, MAR. 21: The managing director and co-founder of the New Jersey-based IVF centre the Diamond Institute is to give a talk in Bermuda this Friday.

For more than 25 years, Dr Matan Yemini has focused his interest, practice and research on the spectrum of issues associated with reproductive endocrinology and infertility treatment.

He joined the Diamond Institute in 1989 with the task of further developing the Institute’s advanced reproductive technology programme. He has published extensively and lectured on human reproduction to the medical community and to the public at national and international conferences and workshops. He holds a New Jersey licence and memberships in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, formerly the American Fertility Society; the American Society of Reproductive Immunology; the American Medical Association; the Society for the Study of Reproduction; and the North American Menopause Society.

A spokeswoman at local IVF support group Paperwhites which has organized the event said anyone is welcome to attend the event including those who have been through IVF and achieved their dream of having a baby: “Sometimes the thoughts of those who have been through IVF are really helpful to those just starting to think about it as a possibility.”

The event will take place on Friday, March 23rd from 6pm-7:30pm in the 1st  floor conference room at King Edward Memorial Hospital.
