I-130 Petitions no longer filed with American Consulate 

THURSDAY, AUGUST 18: The U. S. Consulate can no longer accept new filings for I-130, Petitions for Alien Relative.
Beginning immediately, anyone who wants to make application to immigrate an immediate family member to the United States should file the initial application directly with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Filing Instructions beginning August 15, 2011:
Beginning August 15, 2011, petitioners residing in Bermuda who wish to file a Form I-130 must file their application with the USCIS Chicago Lockbox at one of the following addresses, unless the petitioner requests and is granted an exception based on one of the criteria described on the consulate’s website: http://hamilton.usconsulate.gov.

Processing
When the case is ready for adjudication and issuance of a visa, the U.S. National Visa Center will send the file to the U.S. Consulate in Bermuda for processing. I-130 cases that have already been filed at the Consulate will be processed to conclusion.
