Golf rules exam to be held in Bermuda
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 8: David Bird will be in Bermuda on February 18 to conduct a Level One Rules Standard of the R&A.
Bird is a past member of the Rules of Golf committee of the R&A and is the secretary of the Caribbean Golf Association.
The seminar will be held at Rosewood Tucker’s Point Golf Club with the cost of the weekend being $100 per person, which includes lunch, snacks and the exam on Sunday morning.
The focus of the weekend will be on enhancing participants’ knowledge of the rules through practical demonstrations and role-play scenarios on the course, and presentations off the course at the Tuckers Point Club about the art of officiating and guidance on being a committee member.
The weekend will finish off with a Rules Exam on Sunday morning. This exam will be geared towards those interested in being rules officials and interested in continuing to Level 2 and 3.
Members that are interested in attending are to contact the Bermuda Golf Association office to reserve a spot. Space is limited.
This will be an opportunity to learn about the new rule changes for the 2012 - 2015 term.
Monthly medal
In other golf news the date for the Monthly Medal at Tuckers Point will now be held on February 25 with tee times starting at 10am.
