God will reveal the purpose for which you were born
(Ex. 3:2): And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
Similarly, Paul spoke to Timothy, his son in the gospel, and said,
2 Timothy 1:6: Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
The first text tells us that the angel of the Lord “appeared”.
The word “appeared” comes from the word “malak” which means that a messenger was dispatched or sent as an ambassador on behalf of God.
Imagine! God wants to use you so much that He will send His most personal messenger to come and see about you.
What a wonderful thought! Truly the love of God knows no end and knows no barriers.
In the text, Moses saw something that baffled his mind. He saw a bush on fire, yet the bush was not consumed or eaten up.
What I like about that text is the fact that God will step into your ordinary day and do the extraordinary. God will show who He is so that you will stop doing those things that will not bring Him glory.
Stagnancy in the life of a Christian is totally contrary to the ways of God.
If you are in The Kingdom and you are not doing Kingdom work, you are off-course. You are not walking in purpose and destiny.
However, have no fear, because even though you look at Moses and see stagnancy, God sees possibilities. God is The Wonder!
God will take a sedated person and set him on fire with destiny. God will change a dead thing into a living thing. God will transform your regular day into a day where the roads divide and you decide to go the way of God.
In the text, God captured the attention of Moses and changed the mundane thing into the miraculous thing. God used the fire, to fire-up Moses.
Moses was intrigued by what he saw. Here again, God knew how to deal with the carnal spirit of mankind.
Mankind is forever fascinated by what they see. They want to draw near to what they see and they desire to understand what they see.
Remember, Eve in the Garden of Eden? She was captivated by what she saw. She saw that the fruit was good to eat and then she investigated, and ingested it.
In a similar way, God got to Moses. God was not stirring up something within Moses. God was changing Moses’ ordinary day into a day that he would never forget.
Understand that you can never begin to study God or who God is and then go back to being the same old person you used to be. Oh no!
God will show up in your “fire situation” and cause you to not only survive the fire but to also be infused with the very purpose for which you were born.
The fire you are in is not meant to consume you. It is meant to get your attention, so that God can begin to redirect your life.
You are too settled where you are and are not being all you can be for God. Hence, God will show up and stir up that which He placed in you.
Bermuda, do not let the conditions of this present day stop you from seeing God in the situation. God is ready to take you to your next place in Him. Respice finem.
