FRIDAY, JUNE 24: Bermudian hip-hop artist Jermaine DeSilva, aka J’Silva, will be releasing his first album at the Ferrari Bar this evening.
The launch party marks the release of the 13-track album Silva Lining and the realization of a dream for the musician.
There will be live performances by J’Silva and the other Bermudian artists on the album — KT, Candace Furbert, Malz, Force Proph, Yung Mack, KD da Beast and poet Stephan Johnstone. There will also be live performances by Kombat who is not featured on the album and overseas artists Mecca from St Lucia.
J’Silva, who has been working on the album for two years, said: “It feels great to have finished it. This has been a lot of hard work but it is just the start.”
The album will be on sale at the launch party for $15. It will be on sale for the full price of $20 at The Sound Stage in Washington Mall, both Dub City locations, New Life Fashions on Dundonald Street. It will soon be available on iTunes.
The launch party takes place from 8pm to 1am at the Ferrari Bar on Bermudiana Road. Tickets, which include a free drink, are $20 or $35 for VIP. Tickets are available from Secrets and Kit & Caboodle.
