If you like cruising and Blake Shelton, Norwegian Cruise Lines has a trip for you.
The Blake Shelton and Friends Cruise is set for October 14 on the Norwegian Jewel out of Miami.
He doesn’t do anything for me, but my wife thinks “he’s a tall drink of water”, but I do enjoy his music.
The other country artists have yet to be named, but the ship is sure to prove to be intimate setting if you are a big Shelton fan.
He will perform two live concerts in the ship’s Stardust Theatre with each passenger getting to hear at least one performance.
In addition, there will be country music every night of the cruise in a minimum of three venues on the ship.
The cruise will also include several songwriters workshops.
There is supposed to be several ‘surprise’ unplugged performances and jam sessions.
Shelton is one of the judges on NBC’s The Voice — along with Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine — singing competition and there will be a karaoke contest judged by the pros one night.
There will be opportunities for the passengers to participate in question and answer sessions with the professional singers.
The Blake Shelton and Friends Cruise will call on San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas. Guests will also be able to enjoy three relaxing days at sea.

Asian cruises
Staying on our cruise theme this week, Holland America’s Zaandam will have five 14-day Asia explorer cruises in 2012.
Perhaps the most interesting one is a 14-Day China and Korea voyage that will sail roundtrip Hong Kong with calls to Incheon (Seoul) and Jeju (Cheju) City, South Korea and Shanghai and Beijing. This cruise departs February 19 and sails roundtrip to Honk Kong.
Zaandam’s five 14-day Asia Explorer voyages sail between Hong Kong and Singapore and feature port calls at Koh Samui and Bangkok, Thailand; Sihanoukville, Cambodia; Phu My and Nha Trang, Vietnam. Departure dates are January 8, January 22, February 5, March 4 and March 18.
The February 5 sailing can also be booked as a 28-day cruise and combines the China Cruise with the Asia Explorer.
The Zaandam can also be booked for the 22-day Japan and Alaska repositioning cruise.
It departs April 15 from Kobe with a stop in Kamchatka, Russia on its way to Vancouver, British Columbia.
The ship will also make a brief foray into Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska.
Cruise fares begin at $1,599 per person, double occupancy for the 14-day sailings; $2,099 for the 22-day Japan and Alaska sailing; and $3,399 for the 28-day Asia Explorer Collectors’ Voyage sailing.
