Faith, not logic, will lead you on the path to destiny

Faith, not logic, will lead you on the path to destiny
Faith, not logic, will lead you on the path to destiny

FRIDAY, JUNE 24: As a Christian your world is shaped by faith and not by facts. The moment a Christian begins to become logical and intellectual about faith, he or she eradicates the need for faith. Strangely enough a Christian must exhibit and operate by faith, even when the facts of the matter dictate and state differently.

To further understand the importance of faith, you can study the life and times of Abraham, who is known as The Father of Faith. Why was Abraham called faithful? He was called faithful because, “he believed God”. Simple, but true. When you believe God you are exhibiting faith.

Romans 4: 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

The whole premise of faith is quite amazing. To know that the patriarchal founder of faith was challenged to ignore what he saw and go for what he heard God speaking is quite a testament to how Christians must operate.

While the sinner and the cynical want facts and visual evidence, you, the Christian, must maintain your hold on the historical catalyst of your walk with Christ.

History tells the Christian that whenever you meet up with an impossible situation, that is when you must lay hold of your faith.

Faith is the silent power of the Christian in a seemingly powerless situation. Faith is the guide by which Christians are led through blind paths of destiny.

So, when you do not know what to do, you will hold onto God’s unchanging hand and understand that God knows exactly what to do and where to take you.

Christians, be careful of how you spend your time. Many will speak against you and many will make a mockery of what you believe.

Indeed you may be taunted at times and you may even become frustrated trying to state your belief. My advice to you is to use wisdom and pick your conversations and the length of them.

Please remember that it will never be your voice that makes the difference in their lives. Rather it will be the voice of God through the Holy Spirit that will make the difference as you speak.

When the Holy Spirit is striving, your faith talk will bring in a harvest. When the Holy Spirit is not striving with the sinner, you will meet up with much strife, resistance, and frustration.

Save yourself. Understand that now is not the time of their salvation. Trust that God will provide another opportunity and time when your words will fall on good ground. That is a testing of your faith.

Do you believe in spite of what you are experiencing? Can you yet rejoice when God has not answered all of your prayers? What if God told you to stop fussing with your family and friends and to move away from their space? Could you do that? Think about it.

Could it be that God told Abram to “depart” because He knew that if Abram remained where he was he would have become frustrated and stagnant? Abram had to move forward to his future. That was a faith move.

That is what you will have to do. You will have to move by faith and not by sight. Your sight will limit you, while your faith will launch you into destiny.

Are you ready to make the move? Let’s go. Let’s go to the place that God has prepared.

You may not be sure of what it looks like, but you can be assured that since God has prepared it, it is a better space and place than where you are now. Respice finem.
