Exhibition pays homage to Sir George Somers
FRIDAY, JULY 15: The beauty of Bermuda as you might see it on any summer’s day is the theme of an upcoming exhibition that pays homage to Sir George Somers.
Longtails in flight, colourful hogfish in the ocean and our rich coral reef waters are among the subjects of art featured in One Somer’s Day opening at Common Grounds Café next Thursday.
The collaborative exhibition includes Molly Godet’s quirky watercolours; Janet Percy’s, life- like papier maché wall sculpture fish; Barbara Dillas’ pastel sails; Piia Mills’, coral reef waters series in oils on linen; Rhona Emmerson’s oils on board and Christopher Grimes’ local regal birds in oils on panels.
The opening night is Thursday July 21 froms 5:50pm to 7pm at Common Grounds Café, 11 Chancery Lane, Hamilton.
The show has been organized by Select Palette Art.
