CURB events target racism
TUESDAY, AUGUST 16: CURB is hosting several events during the upcoming weeks:
“A Discussion for Black Bermudians Part 4 – Planning Session for Internalized Racism”Wednesday, August 24, 7:00 – 9:00pm: hosted by Mr. Cordell Riley & Dr. Eva Hodgson. To be held at the Leopards Club, corner of Brunswick Street & Cedar Avenue (see flyer above right). “Come help and chart our way forward.”
Discussion: “Bermuda & the Struggle for Reform: Race, Politics & Ideology 1994 – 1998”
Wednesday, September 7, 7:00 – 9:00pm: a presentation and discussion on Walton Brown’s latest book “Bermuda & the Struggle for Reform: Race, Politics & Ideology 1994 – 1998.” To be held at the Cathedral Hall, Church Street. NB copies of the book will be available for purchase.
“Ghetto Physics”
Friday, September 23, 7:00 to 9:00 pm: Film Screening of “Ghetto Physics” followed by presentation and discussion with the film director E. Ray Brown (see flyer below right). To be held at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute theatre.
Saturday, September 24, 4:00 – 7:00 pm: Film Screening of “Ghetto Physics” followed by a presentation & discussion with the Director E. Ray Brown and a reception beginning at 6 pm. To be held at Chewstick (corner Elliott & Court Streets).
