Cup Match trash collection schedule

FRIDAY, JULY 23: The Waste Management Section of the Ministry of Works and Engineering advises that the schedule for household garbage and recycling collection will change over the Cup Match public holiday.

In the west end, household garbage will be collected on Monday 26 July 2010 and household garbage and recycling will be collected on Wednesday 28 July 2010.

In the east end, household garbage will be collected on Tuesday 27 July 2010 while household garbage and recycling will be collected on Saturday 31 July 2010. 

Mindful of the volumes of waste and recycling generated during the holiday celebrations, the Waste Management Section encourages members of the public to take trash and recycling bags with them when enjoying the outdoors at the beach, game, picnicking or boating.  Bagging waste, recycling it and placing it next to public bins enables workers from the Department of Parks and the Waste Management Section to maintain our beaches and parks more efficiently.
