Christmas Parade route and road closures
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27: The annual Christmas Parade takes place from 5-8pm this evening in Hamilton.
The parade takes the following route:
From Par-La-Ville Road car park, exiting left onto Church Street, left onto Par-La-Ville Road, along Par-La-Ville Road to Front Street, left onto Front Street, then left onto Court Street and left along Church Street.
Parking Restrictions
Any vehicles parked within the perimeter of the below road closures from 4:30pm will be required to remain in position until the parade has passed or concluded. The main road closures will be enforced until 8pm. Once concluded all roads will re-open to allow the free passage of vehicles and parking again.
Road Closures
From 3pm - The entire length of Par-La-Ville Road is closed between Serpentine Road and Front Street to allow the parade to form up.
From 4pm
- Front Street - between Woodbourne Avenue (Pitts Bay Road) and King Street.
- Reid Street – between Queen Street and King Street.
- Queen Street – between Front Street and Church Street.
- Burnaby Street – between Front Street and Church Street.
- Parliament Street – between Front Street and Victoria Street.
- Court Street – between Front Street and Victoria Street.
- Church Street – between Bermudiana Road and King Street.
Diversions
- Traffic travelling into the City from Pitts Bay Road will be diverted north along Woodbourne Avenue.
- Traffic travelling into the City from the east will be diverted right up Spurling Hill.
