Cann and Smith to bring the big bats
The squad could also add punch with the return of Clay Smith.
Bermuda could use their bats after losing yesterday One Day International to Kenya by 104 runs. On the weekend Bermuda also lost by 79 runs and seven wickets to get whitewashed in the three match series.
Dean Minors was tried at opener with Stephen Outerbridge and made 68, but Outerbridge was out for a duck on the fourth delivery. Kwame Tucker came in next but fell for four runs, putting Bermuda in a terrible hole as they were six for two.
One Day captain Irving Romaine helped steady the ship as he and Minors pushed the total to 104 for three. Romaine departed for the pavilion having added 43 to the score.
Bermuda was never going to reach the Kenyan total of 305, but Janeiro Tucker (34) and David Hemp (25) gave respectable accounts of themselves.
Dwayne 'Sluggo' Leverock was a star in limiting the Kenyan bowlers to five for 53 in his 10 overs. The rest of the bowlers were expensive, particularly Stefan Kelly who was tossed about for three for 34.
Steven Tikilo continued to harass the island's bowlers as he padded his resume with 111 runs.
Tannock said Bermuda was unlucky as they dropped a couple of catches and missed out a few LBWs, which would have helped reduce the Kenyan total.
"Things just didn't go our way. We just allowed them to score too many runs. Coach (Gus Logie) was experimenting today by allowing Stefan Kelly to play and by putting Dean Minors in the field so Kwame Tucker could play wicketkeep. He rested Kevin Hurdle and Ryan Steede for Holland."
While Cann jets in to join the squad, young Malachi Jones heads back to the island to return to school. The youngster gave a good account of himself with the bat with an average of 20.50, but found things more difficult on the other side of the ball.
Tannock said the tour was a good "learning experience for him. He batted pretty well, but he was bowling against an experienced opposition."
Team manager Lionel Tannock said: "It was a tough tour. We had three back-to-back which made it pretty tough, but the guys' spirits are still pretty high."
He said the team is hopeful that captain Clay Smith can return to the squad after missing all three One Day Kenyan matches.
"We're still watching the injury of Clay and his knee," Tannock said. "He should be up and ready for the four-day match against Holland in South Africa. Apparently he pulled a hamstring while playing the match in Nairobi."[[In-content Ad]]
