Can anyone field for St. George's?
Can Jacobi Robinson defend his title?
No one has won back-to-back Safe Hands Awards since it was started nine years ago by Black Star Communications as a way to highlight great fielding in the classic. In fact, only Janeiro Tucker has won the award twice.
Rolfe Commissiong, president of Black Star, bemoaned the fact that his beloved St. George's has only had one player win it - Clay Smith.
This year's winner will get the Calvin 'Bummy'Symonds Cup as well as $700 cash, a plane ticket to a gateway city and other various prizes.
The cup is named after legendary fielder Symonds, who made 24 catches over the course of his Cup Match career.
Sponsors include the Bank of Bermuda, The Butterfield family, and Bermuda Health Care Services.[[In-content Ad]]
