Bermuda's biggest fashion event is fast approaching

FRIDAY, JULY 15: Bermuda is about to stage it’s biggest fashion event ever as it prepares to host the official launch of Top Model International 2012.

Some 200 male, female and young models will take to the runway at City Hall tomorrow for the Evolution fashion show, part of the City of Hamilton’s three-day Four Seasons Fashion Festival which kicked off on Monday.

As the home country of Top Model International 2011 winner Bermudian Deandra Brangman, the popular, globally televised model competition, decided to launch its 2012 campaign here. The official launch is at the Evolution show which is being directed by local fashion choreographer and director Dean Parris. The event starts at 7pm on the steps of City Hall where models will walk along a 150-foot runway, believed to be the biggest Bermuda has ever staged. There will also be scouts from Top Model UK looking for the best modelling talent while the whole event will be filmed by Top Model International.

The salons participating include Bliss, Cabelo, Transformations, Hair Studio, Kraze, Plush and Soave while participating retailers include Gibbons Co, Daisy’s and Daisy’s, Choices, The Edge, Secrets, Connections, Vibe and Clara Bows.

Entry to the Evolution fashion show is free though there are VIP tickets available for sale from City Hall. There will be stalls selling fashions from local retailers and there will be an after party at Pier 6 on Front Street from about 11pm onwards.

Models from the fashion show, along with Dolita Paris, will be at the official opening party for Daisy’s boutique at 11 Front Street from 5:30pm this evening.
