SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6: Bermuda slipped down the standings to tied 45th at the end of the delayed second round at the World Amateur Team Championship today.
The contest for the prestigious Eisenhower Trophy has been badly affected by the weather at the Antalya Golf Club and Cornelia Golf Club in Turkey, with the event reduced to 54 holes.
At the start of the day, Bermuda were in tied 31st spot thanks largely to Jarryd Dillas’ two-under first round. The team – which also features Fraser Hunt and Will Haddrell – failed to match that score in their second round, though.
Dillas, in particular, struggled as he carded a 10-over 81, while Hunt and Haddrell improved on their opening rounds but could both manage only four over.
It left Bermuda 11 over for the tournament, which features 72 countries, ahead of their third round, which will tee off on the Cornelia course tomorrow morning.
United States lead the standings on 20 under, with South Korea six shots behind in second.
