BELCO has a post Igor to do list
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 30: Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (BELCO) is advising the community that throughout the entire month of October, crews will be working across the Island to effect permanent repairs to the electricity transmission and distribution system. Immediately after the storm, numerous temporary repairs were made, so that power could be restored as quickly as possible.
BELCO advises that there will be scattered daytime outages associated with the permanent-repair work, because power must be shut down to enable crews to work safely. BELCO will provide information about general areas in which crews will be working, but as they will be moving from job to job, definitive schedules cannot be provided. Every effort will be made to minimize outage duration. Commercial customers will be called.
BELCO appreciates the cooperation and support of customers, as urgent, post-hurricane work is done to maintain and enhance service reliability.
