Beating the All Blacks is an Aussie priority
Question and answer session with Australia manager Brad Bishop
Marco Caputo, Anthony Ekert, Troy Jaques, David Knox, Jeremy Paul, Matt Pini and John Ross
What are your hopes for the tournament on the field?
To win the event this year
How about off the field?
To do as good on the field as off it [or at least try]
Which team would you most like to beat?
New Zealand, its a neighbour thing.
What's your best memory of the classic from years past?
Best memory, definitely our off field times, enough said.
Who on your squad will drink the most pints/score the most tries?
Best drinker Nick Gregorski (he has red hair).
We're told the teams this year are younger and fitter is that true?
Not so much younger, just fitter, the bar has been raised each year so to keep up you look at those still running around and within the age limit.
Who will win the Classic, if not you, and why?
We can win this year, but it all depends on the other teams and the personnel they bring along.
South Africa and the All Blacks look strong on paper, as do the Lions. We meet the boks in the semi-finals. Who wins that will win the Classic, I believe.
Anything else you wish to say about the event?
This is the world's best rugby event, bar none. I've pulled out of Fji, Singapore and Hong Kong this month, just so I can keep coming back to Bermuda.
We have even had one of our guys resign from his job to tour this year - that's how good it is here.
