We haven't produced consistently enough with the bat and we need to be targeting 250 plus in the final few games.
You're always going to struggle to win one-day matches without at least that many runs on the board.
We were very disappointed with the performance against St. Vincent in the first game.
That was our worst performance of the tour and we want to put things right when we play them again today.
They are a strong side and former West Indies Test player Nixon McLean is coming into the line up for this game so it will be a tough game for us.
The most important thing is to see an improved performance, bat out 50 overs and put 250 runs on the board.
We beat their Under-23 side yesterday but that was really just a practice hit. They were not that much competition and I think our under-19 side would have given them a good game.
It was a chance for us to have a hit, practice some different scenarios and try out a few different tactics.
What a win would mean
If we can get a victory against their senior team - which I believe is on a par with any of the teams we will face in South Africa - then that will be a real boost.
The games are coming thick and fast at the moment and that's something we need to get used to. We'll be playing games every few days in South Africa and we need to be mentally strong enough to last.
Two or three weeks into a tour like this you always get tired and start to miss your family. But we need to keep our focus and continue to improve so we are almost at our peak when we return to Bermuda.
We need to keep building momentum as we head to Grenada at the weekend and be at our absolute best by the time the tournament comes around.[[In-content Ad]]
