Augustus wins again
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31: Daniel Augustus won the Jack Daniels Golf Tour at Tucker’s Point Golf Course on Monday.
Augustus shot an even par 70 around the course.
He was able to fend off the challenge from Chaka DeSilva to take the title by one shot with Desilva finishing 1-over par 71.
In a tie for third at 3-over par 73 was Bermuda Professional Golfers Association president Brian Morris and Paul Adams.
Eardley Jones shot a round of 4-over par 74 to finish fifth, while Twilton Smith, who along with Augustus, are the only two players who realistically stand a chance of ending Dwayne Pearman’s position at the top of the overall Order of Merit finished sixth after shooting a round of 6-over par 76.
In other golf news, the Bermuda Amateur Team Medal Championships is slated to be played at Riddell’s Bay Golf Club with a shotgun start at 8:30am. The event will consist of mens and ladies teams of four.
