The Jack Daniels Golf Tour enjoyed pristine conditions at the Mid Ocean Golf Club yesterday.

With such good weather, the scores were expected to be low. But small mistakes by the favourites denied anyone from breaking par, with a record four players tying for first with 72 (+1).

Paul Adams, Dwayne Pearman, Twilton Smith and Eric West all shot the identical score of 72, with Pearman making the biggest mistake with a quadruple bogey eight on the par four fourth hole.

Event sponsors www.seahorsesonline.com provided an extra $100 for the winner.

Paul Adams came out on top by birdieing the last hole. He got a workout with his Hale Irwin imitation lap around the green.

In the Order of Merit, with Daniel Augustus missing out due to a flu bug, Twilton Smith has taken the lead.

If his recent steady continues he may be tough to overtake.
