The third annual HSBC-Bermuda-Brazil Third Annual College Prep School Festival, which took place last week, is already reaping rewards for its young players.
One has been offered a trial at a Championship club in the UK. He is expected to fly over in March to get a taste of the big time. As well as this, five players are to get experience of the PDL (Premier Development League) in Canada, while five girls have been recommended to attend development camps on the US.
Bermuda-Brazil Football School President Cal Blankendal said: “As well as playing they will be able to have a look a various academic institutions.”
The camp has sparked interest from parents about potential boarding schools, while many have also been in touch with Martin Dell, head scout at the Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy — the same on Nahki Wells attended when he first went to England, about the Yorkshire school.
