The Sunshine League hosted an Open House at the weekend in celebration of its 94th anniversary. Guests took part in a tree planting ceremony in memory and as a tribute to the charity’s founder Agnes May Robinson. Carol Hill, author of Rays of Hope (A History Of The Sunshine League) presented the Board with a cheque for $40k from the proceeds of the sale of her book. The former children’s home is now a charity for foster parents and children. Anyone who would like to volunteer for The Sunshine League can contact 292-4360.
