Jeweller wins window contest
You usually find treasures at the bottom of the ocean, but in this case it was behind the glass.
Alexandra Mosher Studio Jewellery won first place in the City of Hamilton’s Christmas Windows Display Competition with its ‘Christmas Under the Sea.’
The competition started on November 29 with voting closing earlier this week.
A total of 27 Hamilton retailers participated in the Window Display Competition which began on Friday, November 29 at Late Night Shopping.
Over the past three weeks residents and consumers voted for their favourite window.
Ms Mosher’s shop won first, but the Island Shop and The Irish Linen Shop were first and second runner-up respectively.
The winner of the competition will receive a $500 gift voucher sponsored by BELCO towards their electricity, a $500 gift voucher sponsored by Bermuda CableVision toward the store’s cable and/or Internet and a full page ad in and sponsored by the Bermuda Sun.
A spokesperson said the Christmas Committee 2013 was happy to bring this competition as an addition to the Christmas in the City Late Night Shopping excitement.
