Insurance interns wanted
“[It] quite literally enabled me to progress faster and further than I ever dreamt possible.”
That was the response of one of the Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies interns gave after completing the programme this past summer.
Applications are now open for next summer’s BFIS ‘Intro-to-Insurance’ internships.
Based on past interns’ experiences, these short, intense educational opportunities within the insurance sector should be on the ‘must do’ list of any student seriously considering entering the industry.
“An educational experience like no other” was just one of the comments from the 16 interns who took part in the internship this past summer.
Since 2002, 81 students have participated in the BFIS Intern Programmes which cover all aspects of the insurance market in an intensive two to three week period in four different jurisdictions – Bermuda, London, Chicago and Atlanta. BFIS pays travel, room and board expenses for the interns participating in the three internships.
