My new obsession is the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I know, I know. I need to turn off Bravo and find something else to watch, but I can’t help it.
I’m a sucker for shows about the rich acting the fool. Goes to show money will never buy class.
I love this show because the bad girls are the best.
Brandi Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump are so hilariously wicked that it makes me love not pretending to be a nice girl. Add to the mix newbie Carlton Gebbia and the bad girls win.
Glanville is a divorcee whose husband Eddie Cibrian famously cheated on her with country singer LeAnn Rimes. Glanville divorced him and Cibrian went on to marry Rimes.
She is hilariously unapologetic and really doesn’t have a filter, which is TV gold. Plus she curses like a sailor and it helps that’s she’s model thin and gorgeous.
Vanderpump is a British restauranteur who has a way of insulting you with a smile on her face. She is busy, super successful and still manages to be fun and very well dressed.
She’s kind of like the head b***h in charge (HBIC).
Gebbia has been an actress but nowadays is an interior designer and works in the family business, StockCross with husband David. Gebbia practices wiccan and her home is goth castle inspired.
Yolanda Foster isn’t a bad girl per se, but she is friends with them. The former Dutch model is married to music producer David Foster. This season viewers see her battle Lyme disease.
Kyle Richards thinks she’s the HBIC, but she’s not. Richards grew up in Beverley Hills with sister Kim and is Paris Hilton’s aunt. She was a child actor and appeared in a few TV shows as an adult. She is mother to four children and married to Mauricio Umansky. This season, Richards addresses rumours of her husband’s infidelity.
Kim Richards is a recovering alcoholic and also used to be a child star like her sister. She also has four children and is single.
Finally, we have Joyce Giraud de Ohovan, a former Miss Puerto Rico with big hair to prove it. She is also an actress and has a super bubbly, albeit annoying personality.
I love this series because the women are quite wealthy and live in fabulous homes, but still go through day to day drama like us regular folks.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Monday nights on Bravo.
