BNAA prepare for Cross Country excitement
The BNAA will stage their Cross Country Championships this coming Saturday at the scenic St. George's Golf Course.
The first races, the Under-10 and Under-12 will take place at 9am.
BNAA president Donna Watson said in a press release: “We are looking forward to this event and expect over 150 entries to participate.
“Based on the cross country series and the number of athletes who competed, this should be a good event with some close finishes.
“We will be crowning the champion in each age group and also crowning the champions of the cross country series.
“Several of the athletes competing will be athletes who have qualified in their respective age groups for the KPMG Front Street Mile event.
“Young athletes like Jade Johnson, Selah Tuzo, Ryan Outerbridge, Iziah Tucker, Lynsey Palmer, Messiah Greaves, Aaron Jacobs.
“Of course some of our Carifta athletes Kyrah Scraders, Daniel Oatley and our adult runners Tamika Williams, Deon Breary, Trey Simons and Jay Donawa to name just a few.”
“The course has been marked out and I have been told that it is a very scenic route with all of the different age groups having to complete a different numbers of laps.
“Our championships are always a great competitive event with some surprises as all of the athletes put out their best so they could become champion.”
