Bermuda Overseas Missions, in collaboration with Miss. Carol Clarke and her Outreach Ministry is proud to announce a Seniors Christmas Party to be held on Saturday 7th December 2013 at The Citadel, Salvation Army headquarters on North Street Hamilton.
This annual event is now being championed by Bermuda Overseas Missions (BOM), a local registered charity, who have been asked to support this special celebration luncheon which is now in its 14th year.
David Thompson, President of BOM announced today:
“The members of our organization are very excited to be involved with Carol and her Ministry in this special holiday luncheon. The Seniors Christmas Party has been a long and successful year-end tradition and this is a truly wonderful way to recognise one of the islands most cherished resources, our senior citizens.
Supporting this event allows our adolescent BOM volunteers to share in the true meaning of Christmas. Local dignitaries, as well as some of our elected officials will also be attending. Importantly, I wish to recognize the generous financial support of all of our sponsors, as their support allows these seniors to enjoy this holiday event free of charge”.
BOM has for the past eleven years been taking students from Bermuda to different countries overseas to experience poverty and help make a difference by building houses in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
